Elon Musk claims that the average IQ of Instagram users is below 100

Elon Musk says Instagram users have IQ of less than 100.

It seems that Elon Musk’s latest target is Instagram as the billionaire has mocked the platform for letting anyone sign up without much of a restriction on anything. He openly asserted on Twitter that people who use Instagram have a very low IQ level and that they don’t even have a 100 IQ level.

“They should really get rid of that 100 IQ maximum limit for creating an account on Instagram,” he said on Twitter. Of course, Musk was being sarcastic and there is no such limit on this social media platform. But, he also made his point clear that Instagram users have an IQ level of less than 100.

IQ is a type of standard score that is seen to analyze how far above or below a person stands in terms of mental ability. In popular culture, IQ tests are not regarded as mandatory criteria to test the intelligence of humans and it purely depends on experience, knowledge and skill sets that they have. For those who are not aware, a score of less than 100 is considered below average and a score of 130 or higher is judged a very intelligent individual.

While Elon Musk didn’t state a reason why he believes Instagram users have a low IQ level, there are chances that he might have witnessed some bad or bogus content on the popular photo-video-sharing platform.

Instagram is an app where people can create an account for free and anyone can become a content creator or post something without spending anything. It is an open platform, which lets you share photos and videos publicly or privately. People also earn money by creating a business account with lots of followers, for which one of course needs to do a lot of things to earn fans (or audience) for them to see your content.

Following his latest IQ level tweet for Instagram users, one of his followers mocked him, saying that Musk should introduce this IQ limit feature for Twitter. Musk hasn’t yet given a response to this, but he has disappointed many people by asking them to pay for the blue verification mark. He confirmed that people will lose the badge if they fail to pay for it. For this, one needs to buy a Twitter Blue subscription to earn the mark and access some other exclusive features. But, many people on Twitter have declined to pay a high price for the mark and criticized Musk for charging for little things.
